Living at 1,300 ft in a remote Lakeland Valley is an inspiring place for an artist to live. Wild landscape, weather, plants and animals all find their way into Gina’s paintings. Most winters the wind howls around the fells near her cottage. Without fail after each snowfall the little roads that wind between stone walls towards Gina’s Cottage become polyfilled with snow creating a remote and wonderfully isolated artists studio for a painter. Why would you want to be anywhere else?
